Tea for 2sday (I mean Wednesday)

I worked the second half of the day today, and man was it tough to convince my body that leaving the house was a good idea. It was about 40 degrees and viciously pouring rain all day. The kind of day where you just don't want to get from under your covers, but pile on more blankets and catch up on some reading. Although my evil enchanted bed soothingly sang her siren song I pulled apart the sheets and managed some productivity. But not until after a large mug of vanilla tea with honey and almond milk.Or two. :)
I managed a few prototype pieces that will be making their debut at Beadlush this weekend, though I think there are a few things I would like to change about the ones that will inevitably end up on my Corvidae Page. I think I'm going to do a more flexible chain for the little galaxy necklaces. I just feel like the stiffer chain looks much better on longer pieces. I may end up with different lockets because I can get get them more consistently, but overall I'm pretty pleased. 

I'm actually kind of in love with my little galaxy pendants. They are hand water-colored (each is unique) and sealed in resin with a Hematite star. I am aiming to have these guys on line for sale by Dec 3rd. Ish. You guys know how I work though, so god only knows. But these go in Beadlush TODAY! Come and get 'em! Only $29 ea!

Tea For 2(sday) Honey Ginseng Green

I am a HUGE Fan of The Republic of Tea's Honey Ginseng Green. It's smooth and sweet on its own, even for a sugar fiend like me. I discovered it about 7 years ago working in the Books a Million cafe where we carried it. while the other Republic of tea blends are quite nice, none of them were ones that I felt the need to continue to purchase post employee discount. Unlike most green teas I find it allows for a few extra minuets of steeping (which works well for me as I frequently forget when I have a cup brewing) and doesn't immediately go bitter. If you would like to give it a try, and I highly recommend you do, without the full tin commitment, most Panera Bread shops (at least in Charlotte) carry it as a hot tea option.

While this tea is perfect warm in an adorable tea cup, it also make a delicious iced brew with a dab of honey. I'm carrying a bottle to work tomorrow.

Tea for 2(sday) -to go

My first tea post of the new year! And honestly it's kind of a snooze. Well for you guys anyway. I started my morning bright and early with a great big thermos of highly caffeinated Matcha. I needed it too. I headed up the mountain with my boss to shop a wholesale bead show. We acquired a lovely selection for the shop and I picked up a few goodies for myself. I'll show them off later this week!

Tea for 2(sday) breakfast and tea

 

I love breakfast. It's not a meal I typically focus on much during the work week, so on my "days off" I try to take the time for me. I curl up in my oversized sweater and slippers and enjoy. This is a pretty typical "me time" meal, though I prefer local fruit to also make an appearance, but most importantly, i must have my mug of tea. Today I have selected Bigelow's Constant Comment Green tea. I LOVE this tea. I drink it constantly with nothing else added. With breakfast I over steep it just a bit and add honey and a dab of almond milk.

 MMMMMMMMMM:)

 On the rest of menu? Whole wheat toast, Egg over medium, and NC Berry Best Jam.

Tea for 2(sday)

I found this image on Tumblr and loved everything about it. I typically am drinking tea while my fingers are wiring beads together, but I really enjoy curling up (especially on a rainy or snowy day) with an exceptional piece of literature and a mug of brew. Those are some of my favorite kind of days.

Tea for 2(sday) : Bigelow Vanilla Chai

Good to see you guys again! I needed to take a little break from the internet, but after a spell of rest, and tons of inspiration, I'm excited about blogging again! I thought I would start out with a bit of a challenge.
Welcome to the first (nearly late edition) of Tea for 2(sday).

I figured this was a great way to tap my love of the dark warm brew.  I also used this as an excuse to try out some new photoshop tricks. And so I drank tea and learned how to edge my photos and add tint and hand-written text! I used this fantastic tutorial to scallop the edges of my lovely photos of tea.

It's just my sugarlumps bump ba bumpThey look so good, that's why I keep 'em in the front.- Flight of the Conchords   I didn't have to look any further than my cabinet to find my first subject. I always keep Bigelow Vanilla Chai on hand. It's my favorite everyday black tea. Some bag Chai is overly spiced (one that I bought had black pepper in it and was Very noticeable). This is very mellow and tastes fabulous plain or with cream and sugar.
