One More Time

For the very last time we will be gathering at Concord Mills just outside of Charlotte NC for the midnight showing of Harry Potter. We will be making complete fools out of ourselves as usual.
Pictured above is a fraction of the jewelry I will be draped in. I love an occasion to wear nearly half of my jjewelry collection. Nearly. (who am I kidding? I'm not even wearing a quarter.) So stay tuned for photographic evidence that I, and my cohorts, are mildly retarded.

Oh, Just a Mermaid. Playing a Guitar.

I came across this pendant on Ebay. I'm seriously considering purchasing it for the sake of WTF.
I mean what isn't amazing about a mermaid wearing a pink crown playing an electric (yes electric) guitar? Oh yeah, and there is the bling factor. If I ever get obnoxiously rich, I'm going to have this commissioned in gold and diamonds as real bling. And the mermaid will be twice as large. I'll wear it everyday.

Enjoy,

Oh, So sad.

I wish I had seen these earlier. Especially the coral ones. ~Sigh~

We will be back to a more regular schedule soon. my new mac and Blogger (as well as John's camera) are fighting. As soon as it all gets straitened out I will be working harder to get on a real posting regiment. I love my readers, and YOU DESERVE BETTER!
It's coming.

Shameless Self Promotion

I love, love, love the Susan Lenart Kazmer Ice resin.
LOVE it.
It's just so clear and perfect to encase my watercolors.

I made this bezeled cab as a gift for my friend Maura. The picture are kinda crummy, but you get the idea.

If you want to learn how to wield this incredible medium Join me at Beadlush Saturday June 25, 2:30 pm for The Pop Your Top resin class. I can't wait!
Pop your top Resin ClassI'll be teaching how to punch metal, embellish with watercolor, prevent bubbles, and all about the wonderful world of Resin!
If you live in the Charlotte Area call (704) 376-3331 to reserve a spot (it's filling fast!)
And, in case you were wondering, Beadlush does carry Ice Resin.

Hope to see you there!

Bells on Their Toes

I'm kinda in love with these Maio sandals from Asian ICandy. They aren't even that expensive (completely with my summer shoe budget), and are even made of leather. So what is stopping me? Everyone I know would beat me to a pulp if my feet made constant jingle noises.
~Sigh~
It's just not meant to be.

What are you pining for?

Tealing With It

So I have likely destroyed my very favorite skirt in the world. Words of wisdom? Don't overdo it (or over leave) Shout on you heavily pigmented, all cotton skirt. I am going to attempt to restore it to its former, turquoise, non splotchy glory, but I don't have access to a dye vat or endless supplies of RIT like I did in college, so I don't have high hopes. So instead, I have begun my mission of finding a suitable replacement.I love the color and the belt on this Lapoubelle Vintage one, but not the shape as much. I prefer much fuller skirts.
Obviously this More Of Dorothy skirt is too long, but I can hem things, and I think the shape is good.

I love the pleated shape of this handmade DBL Happiness skirt, but I'm not sure of how big it gets.
OMG POCKETS! This Girl Can't Talk 50's house skirt is KILLING me with cuteness. I may end up with it regardless. And last (but no least) I love the shape and the magical polka dots(!) of this DAtlanda skirt. Doesn't fit my needs really, but nestles nicely into my wants :P

What do we think? I want some opinions here. I am likely to end up with one or more of these skirts, I just need to narrow down. Help me out here!

Thanks,
Vanessa*

P.S. if you are thrifting, and you come across a teal True Blue brand skirt, Get it and I will pay handsomely. I miss mine :..(
